Take Five: Snow

Europe is cold and covered in snow. The news blames it for travel chaos, but in Bollywood it signifies romance and fun even if some of the actors are chronically underdressed for the cold conditions. Today's Take Five looks at songs in the snow.

Khabi Khabi - Tere Chehre Se

Khabi Khabi was famous for it's title song but the rest of the soundtrack was also brilliant. In Tere Chehre Se Rishi Kapoor and Neetu Singh roll around in some snow with a brief break in the sunshine before returning to the white stuff

Bachna Ae Haseeno - Ahista Ahista

This snow scene starts with a toboggan ride down a hill with some scary looking bends. There is a great sense of fun in this video as well as romance. Apparently while they were filming a storm set in and they had to be rescued off the mountain. Poor Minissha Lamba, who played Mahi, was only wearing sandals during her dance in the snow!

Lucky - Shayad Yahi To Pyar Hai

Watch any film where the action is set in Russia and there will be some snow. If you believe the films it is constantly snowing in Russia. Lucky No Time For Love had several snow scenes. This song is the only Bollywood song where the actors are dressed properly and the characters realise just how cold and dangerous snow can be.

Pukar - Kismet Se Tum

Madhuri Dixit rocks a sheer blue sari in this song from the film Pukar while co-star Anil Kapoor wraps up warm in a coat. Set in Alaska, this song is all about romance in amazing frozen scenery.

Aneela Feat. Arash - Chori Chori

This song deserves a mention because although it shows no snow and does not sing about snow the original version was sung by a person called snow! A break from romantic bollywood scenes, this mini movie is full of action.
